Spring Reading Thing 2010

It’s time for another favorite reading challenge!  Katrina at Callapidder Days is hosting the 2010 Spring Reading Thing. I LOVE this challenge as it’s so laid-back and we’re able to change our lists if needed.  Katrina also encourages us to set reading goals if we want.

Now that the first quarter of 2010 is almost over (!!), I’m realizing I’m a bit behind schedule with reading my own books and reaching my goal of 144 books read in 2010.  I’m going to change things up a bit this time and INCREASE the number of books I want to read for this challenge.  My list will contain my unread, purchased books and library books.  Here’s what I want to accomplish by the end of this challenge:

My books:

  1. Bundle of Trouble – Diana Orgain
  2. Caught – Harlan Coben
  3. Fairytale of New York – Miranda Dickinson
  4. House Rules – Jodi Picoult
  5. I Heart New York – Lindsey Kelk
  6. Long Lost – Harlan Coben
  7. Motherhood is Murder – Diana Orgain
  8. Points of Power – Yolanda Adams
  9. So Long, Insecurity – Beth Moore
  10. The Diva Paints the Town – Krista Davis
  11. The Diva Takes the Cake – Krista Davis
  12. The Love of Her Life – Harriet Evans

Library books:

  1. Between Sisters – Kristin Hannah
  2. Fear the Worst – Linwood Barclay
  3. Live to Tell – Wendy Corsi Staub
  4. Magnolia Wednesdays – Wendy Wax
  5. Never Look Away – Linwood Barclay
  6. Poor Little Bitch Girl – Jackie Collins
  7. Scandal – Kate Brian
  8. Sleeping with Anemone – Kate Collins
  9. The Cougar Club – Susan McBride
  10. The Opposite of Me – Sarah Pekkanen
  11. The Wild Zone – Joy Fielding
  12. Winter Garden – Kristin Hannah

Not yet released (as of this posting):

  1. Heart of the Matter – Emily Giffin
  2. The Shadow of Your Smile – Mary Higgins Clark
  3. The 9th Judgment – James Patterson
  4. The Second Time Around – Beth Kendrick

Spring Reading Thing 2009 Challenge ~ Completed!

As I stated when I signed up for this challenge:

I’ve been such a mood reader this year, so chances are my list will change by the end of the challenge.

This was in fact the case.  Here’s my original list:

  1. Handle with Care – Jodi Picoult
  2. While My Sister Sleeps – Barbara Delinsky
  3. True Colors – Kristin Hannah
  4. Just Take My Heart – Mary Higgins Clark
  5. The 8th Confession – James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
  6. Long Lost – Harlan Coben

I’ve been debating on whether to read Long Lost.  I’ve read the first two books in the series and Promise Me.  I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go back and read the other books in the series or jump in with Long Lost.  Since I’ve taken so long to decide, my end decision was to drop this one from my list.

So, without realizing I had a “released in 2009” theme, I added more titles to my list.  Here is what I read for this challenge:

  1. Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult
  2. While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky
  3. True Colors by Kristin Hannah
  4. Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark
  5. The 8th Confession by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
  6. Still Life by Joy Fielding
  7. Life Without Summer by Lynne Griffin
  8. Hollywood Car Wash by Lori Culwell
  9. This Is What I Want to Tell You by Heather Duffy Stone
  10. Best Intentions by Emily Listfield

  3. True Colors by Kristin Hannah
