Fall Into Reading Wrap-up

As usual, I love participating in Katrina’s seasonal reading challenge.  They are fun and laid-back.  My goal was to read at least 10 books.  I read 9 and read about halfway in the 10th book.  This year I decided to make an alternate list to my list.  Of course I strayed from both my original and alternate lists!

Here’s what I read:

  1. The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner
  2. Dying for Mercy by Mary Jane Clark
  3. Testimony by Anita Shreve
  4. The Secret of Joy by Melissa Senate
  5. Hounding the Pavement by Judi McCoy
  6. I, Alex Cross by James Patterson
  7. Perfect Mistake by Kate Brian
  8. The Christmas List by Richard Paul Evans
  9. The Christmas Secret by Donna Van Liere

Katrina has asked us to answer several questions at the end of the challenge.

  • Did you finish reading all the books on your fall reading list? If not, why not? No.  I read 9 and wanted to read 10.  Outside pressures kept my reading down in the latter part of the year.

  • Did you stick to your original goals or did you change your list as you went along? I read books that were from my original list and my alternate list.  I also read books that I wanted to read (not on either list).

  • What was your favorite book that you read this spring? Least favorite? Why? Favorite was The Secret of Joy.  Least favorite was Hounding the Pavement.

  • Did you discover a new author or genre this spring? Did you love them? Not love them? I started a new series that I’ve been wanting to read.  Although the first book was an okay read, I will plan to read book two.

  • Did you learn something new because of Fall Into Reading 2009 – something about reading, about yourself, or about a topic you read about? No

  • What was your favorite thing about the challenge? It’s so laid-back!
